Currently, the whole Bloc has 130 industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones with a total area of 175,922 hectares. Of which, 54 industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones have come into operation with a total area of 107,288 hectares. In 2024, the whole Bloc has newly established 02 industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones with a total area of 799 hectares; attracted 104 new investment projects, reaching 68.42% over the same period, the total investment capital increased by about 37,081 billion VND; industrial production value reached 479,475 billion VND, up 111% over the same period; Export value reached 50,816 million USD, up 108.7% over the same period; budget contribution reached 26,505 billion VND, up 121.8% over the same period.

In order to ensure consistency and unity, and avoid overlap between regulations on the implementation of management of planning, construction, land, and environment in the Law on Industrial Parks, Export Processing Zones, and Economic Zones with specialized laws, it is recommended that the Ministry of Planning and Investment consider and submit to the Government to submit to the National Assembly for early promulgation of the Law on Industrial Parks, Export Processing Zones, and Economic Zones.

In 2025, members of the emulation bloc of the Management Boards of Industrial Parks, Export Processing Zones, and Economic Zones in the Southwest region will continue to resolutely and synchronously implement solutions on administrative reform, contributing to improving the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) for the tasks of the management board according to the program and plan. The focus is on reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures, ensuring timely settlement, striving to increase the rate of early settlement to increase the level of satisfaction of enterprises.

Strengthening investment promotion to increase investment attraction, improve the efficiency of industrial zones in parallel with strengthening post-inspection, reviewing the operation of enterprises in industrial zones, export processing zones, economic zones; proactively coordinating closely with sectors, localities, and enterprises to focus on solving difficulties and problems of enterprises.
