On the afternoon of September 26, the Long An Business Association held the Congress for the 2024-2029 term. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Duoc; leaders and former leaders of the province through the periods; Head of the Long An Economic Zone Management Board - Le Truong Chinh, along with representatives of departments, branches, and over 300 delegates representing businesses operating in Long An province attended.

The Long An Business Association said that the whole province has more than 17,400 registered businesses, with a total capital of over 379 trillion VND; more than 2,200 FDI projects, with a registered capital of over 300 trillion VND.

During the 2019-2024 term, the Association has connected more than 300 official members, associate members and member associations. The Association's activities have helped businesses, improved the investment and business environment, enhanced competitiveness and contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of Long An province.

With the slogan of action being "Solidarity of businesses - Development of Long An", the Executive Committee of the Long An Business Association for the 2024-2029 term will focus on increasing membership by 5% each year, striving to reach 600 members by the end of the term; establishing 5 new professional or industry-based branches; organizing meetings between members and provincial leaders; connecting and exchanging between member businesses of Long An province and other provinces; organizing social security activities.

Speaking at the Congress, Long An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Duoc highly appreciated the achievements and results achieved by the Association during the past term.

The Association has affirmed its position and role in gathering, connecting, supporting, protecting the legitimate and legal rights of businesses and acting as a bridge between businesses and authorities at all levels to predict new opportunities and fortunes.

To realize the slogan of action in the new context, the Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee suggested a number of issues for the business community to study and implement in the coming time: The Association needs to pay attention to bringing legitimate and practical benefits to its members. It is necessary to participate more actively with State management agencies in building mechanisms and policies, as well as protecting the rights of its members.
